Community without a profile
For many queer people in India, it is still hard to be open at home, at work or in a small town. LGBTQ+ Chat gives you a space to talk with people who understand, under a nickname, with no profile, photo or phone number required.
People use the room to make friends, talk through coming out, share Pride plans, recommend queer films and books, or simply exist somewhere they do not have to explain themselves.
Respect is the rule
Homophobia, transphobia, outing anyone, or sharing someone's photos or details gets you removed. Respect pronouns people share. Allies are welcome to listen and learn. Moderators take reports seriously; contact us if something goes wrong.
Stay safe
Unfortunately, fake profiles are sometimes used to target queer people. Keep your identity private until you trust someone, meet only in busy public places, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money or compromising photos. If someone threatens or blackmails you, stop contact and report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
For dating, try Dating Chat; for friendship, Friends Chat is always open.
