Terms of service

Effective 22 October 2026.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Cafe Chat (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Cafe Chat runs on the ChatLife IRC Network, which provides the technical infrastructure for all rooms, including #India, #Allnitecafe and #ChatLife.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cafe Chat. Rooms marked adults-only, such as the adult chat room, are for consenting adults where such conversation is legal. Anyone who appears to be under 18 will be removed and banned, and child-safety concerns are reported to the authorities.

3. User conduct

  • Be kind, inclusive and respectful.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
  • No spam, flooding or advertising.
  • Do not share personal information or images of yourself or others publicly, and never share anyone's intimate images.
  • No illegal content, scams, or requests for money, OTPs or financial details.
  • Do not send adult content to people who have not agreed to it, or outside adults-only rooms.

Breaking these rules may lead to a temporary or permanent ban at the moderators' discretion.

4. Moderation

Rooms are moderated by volunteers who may warn, mute or remove users. Moderator decisions are final in order to keep rooms running smoothly.

5. Content responsibility

You are responsible for what you post. Messages reflect the views of individual users, not Cafe Chat or ChatLife IRC. We do not endorse user content and cannot guarantee its accuracy.

6. Privacy

Public messages are visible to others in the room and may be logged temporarily for moderation. See our privacy policy.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Cafe Chat online around the clock but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change or be paused for maintenance.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Cafe Chat and ChatLife IRC are not liable for losses arising from your use of the Service or from contact with other users.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
